If you feel a worried thought creep up throughout the day or when it's time to go to bed, simply think to yourself "I'll worry about it later at my worry period," and then forget it. 3. Try a relaxation technique or activity - When you start feeling overwhelmed and anxious, try a relaxation technique like rhythmic breathing or mediation. Look into joining a yoga class or enjoy the outdoors during a brisk walk.

4. Avoid procrastination - If your anxiety comes from things like paying bills or getting everything done at work, try to get these things done as soon as possible.
