Not so obvious places to go in the U.S. before you die

Many Americans travel to Europe or tropical island destinations before they even see all of the wonders in their very own country. The United States offers many beautiful and fascinating attractions that are often under the radar, that you should see sometime in your life. Yes, the Grand Canyon is breathtaking, but what about some of those attractions and towns you might have missed, but are still worth seeing?

Sleeping Bear Dunes - Located in northwest Michigan, Good Morning America recently named it themost beautiful place in America.

Jackson Hole - Breathtaking views are found in every direction you look in this Wyoming town. The Grand Tetons and the multiple family ranch resorts make for a wonderful visit.

Point Reyes - Watch the ocean crash against the rocky landscape at this California gem. A lighthouse surrounded by natural beauty is stunning.

Battery Park - Visit the quaint, southern town of Charleston, South Carolina, at the waterfront spot called Battery Park. Palm trees, south mansions, fountains and delicious restaurants make this southern destination a heaven on earth.

Key Largo - You can't have a list of beautiful places without having a tropical destination on the list. Key Largo in Key West, Florida, is a paradise full of sun and fun, and is not only one of the most beautiful places in America, but one of the most beautiful places in world.

The squares - The squares of Savannah, Georgia, that is. Explore the charm that this antebellum town has to offer by touring the Savannah Squares, the grid pattern of downtown that boasts historical homes and breathtaking views.
