Do something nice for the hardest working person in the family - Mom

Sure, Mom and Dad both work full-time or maybe Dad is the only one that works a nine-to-five job in the family. But anyone that has played the role of mom for a day knows how exhausting it can be. In a lot of households, it is the mother who keeps the house running - from constantly keeping up with the laundry to always making dinner. Whether it is due to tradition or a mother's natural instinct to take care of a household, moms usually keep everything running smoothly.

However, moms are sometimes under appreciated and one day out of the year to celebrate Mother's Day does not quite make up for a whole year of her help and love. So why not do something nice for mom, just because?

Consider buying her a gift that will allow her to pamper herself. A gift certificate to a spa for a massage or manicure would be great, or consider a gift card to her favorite salon for a hot oil hair treatment.

You could also plan an activity she can do with her friends. Perhaps buying tickets for her closest friends and her to see the newest art exhibit downtown, or getting a hotel room for them to spend a night at the beach would be a good way for her to get some friend time. Allowing her and dad some alone time may also be a nice way to reward your mom. Perhaps Make them a nice dinner and leave them to eat alone in peace.

Doing something special for Mom will likely mean more to her than you know and will show her that you notice all that she does. Moms work hard, so they need a lot of extra love!
